Pricing — $1,000 pilot month

One flat fee. No contract. No ad spend.

You shouldn’t need a sales call to find out what something costs. Here it is.

Start with a low-risk pilot month.

No contract to sign before you’ve seen it work.

Pilot month: fewer than 3 verified leads and we run month two free — or you walk away having spent $1,000 and nothing more. Your call.
After that: we guarantee an average of 3 verified leads a month across any 3 consecutive months — at least 9 in total. Miss it and you can end the agreement immediately, with no notice period and no penalty. Either way you keep every lead already delivered.

What’s included — and what isn’t.

No asterisks, no “that’s a different package.”

  • Hand-verification of every contact before outreach
  • Multi-touch outreach sequences under your company name
  • A separate warmed sending domain, so your own domain stays clean
  • First-conversation qualification before anything reaches you
  • Leads delivered by email and phone as they come in
  • A running lead spreadsheet you keep access to
  • A monthly report on what went out and what came back
  • Lead exclusivity — never delivered to another client, then or ever
  • Every lead delivered within 4 business hours of verification

Not included

  • Paid ads or any ad budget
  • Closing the sale or site walkthroughs
  • Website design or rebuilds
  • Social media management
  • Residential lead generation
  • CRM setup or software installation

Against the alternative, it’s not close.

The usual way to add pipeline is to hire someone to do it. Here’s what that actually runs.

Hiring an in-house sales rep
$62,000+
per year, before they book a single job
  • Base salary, commonly $45,000–55,000 plus commission
  • Payroll tax, insurance, and workers’ comp on top
  • Laptop, phone, CRM seat, and lead data subscriptions
  • Weeks of ramp-up before the first meeting
  • You manage them, train them, and replace them if it doesn’t work
  • Fixed cost whether the pipeline fills or not
Truss Lead Gen
$23,000
your first year, and you can give notice any month
  • One flat fee, billed monthly — $1,000 pilot, then $2,000
  • No payroll, no benefits, no employer liability
  • Tools and data are our cost, not yours
  • Running inside the first 30 days
  • Nothing to manage — you get a report and a short list of real conversations
  • Cancel with 30 days’ notice — or immediately, penalty-free, if we miss the guarantee

Salary figures are typical ranges for a commercial trade sales rep and vary by market. The point isn’t the exact number — it’s that one new maintenance contract usually covers the year either way, and only one of these options lets you stop paying next month.

The things contractors actually ask.

What counts as a “verified lead”?

Six things have to be true. It’s a checklist, not a judgment call — if any one of them fails, it isn’t a verified lead, we don’t send it, and it doesn’t count toward the guarantee.

  1. Commercial, not residential — business name and commercial address confirmed
  2. A named decision-maker or direct influencer — full name and title on record
  3. Reachable — they personally replied by email or spoke by phone, verified by a human, not a data tool
  4. Interest in their own words — we hold the written reply or call note and pass you what they actually said
  5. Inside your service area and trade
  6. Exclusive — not delivered to any other client, then or ever

What doesn’t count: a request for a brochure or price sheet with no interest in a conversation, a gatekeeper or receptionist, anyone outside your area, a “check back next year,” anyone on the customer list you gave us, a web form fill, or a purchased list record.

What if the pilot month doesn’t work?

Fewer than 3 verified leads in your pilot month and we run month two free — or you walk away having spent $1,000 and nothing more. Your call.

Either way you keep every lead that did come through.

What if you send me a lead that doesn’t qualify?

Tell us in writing within 5 business days, saying which of the six requirements failed and why. We review it against the evidence on file and answer within 3 business days. If we agree — or we can’t substantiate the point you’re questioning — the lead is withdrawn, it stops counting toward the guarantee, and we work to replace it that month or the next.

One thing that isn’t grounds for a dispute: the prospect didn’t buy, didn’t return your call, or turned out not to be worth much commercially. Those are outcomes, not defects in the verification. We can guarantee that the conversation was real; we can’t guarantee how it ends.

Is there a situation where the guarantee doesn’t apply?

Yes, and you should know them up front rather than discover them later. A month is set aside from the guarantee count if the reason we couldn’t work was on your side or outside both of ours — outreach copy not approved within 5 business days of us asking, the customer list or service area information not provided or materially wrong, a mid-month change to your trade or target that means rebuilding the list, a pause you asked for, a pause for non-payment, a lapsed license or insurance, a platform outage lasting more than 5 days, or a genuine force-majeure event.

Two protections on that, both of which we hold ourselves to: we tell you in writing during the month in question, not afterwards. And we can’t raise an exclusion for the first time after you’ve already claimed the guarantee.

When does the 30-day guarantee clock start?

The day the first outreach message is sent — not the day you sign, and not the day you pay. Setup usually takes 7–14 days from signing, because sending infrastructure has to be prepared and your outreach copy approved. We confirm that first outreach date to you in writing, and every guarantee, fee, and deadline is measured from it.

A “month” here means 30 consecutive days from that date, not a calendar month.

Am I locked into a contract?

No. The pilot month has no commitment at all. After that it’s month-to-month with 30 days’ notice — enough time for us to wind campaigns down cleanly. If we ever average fewer than 3 verified leads a month across any 3-month stretch, you can leave immediately instead — no 30-day wait, no penalty.

Are these leads exclusive to me?

Yes — and this is the part most lead sellers are quiet about. Every lead we deliver goes to you and nobody else. It’s recorded permanently on our side and will never be delivered to another client, while we’re working together or at any point after. We don’t sell, resell, syndicate, or re-market lead data.

Being straight about the limit: that’s exclusivity on leads, not on territory. We may work with other contractors in your trade or your area. What we guarantee is that no prospect is ever worked for two clients — you will never find yourself bidding against another one of our clients on a lead we sent you both, because that cannot happen.

Do you send from my email domain?

No — and you should be wary of anyone who says yes. We send from a separate domain set up to match your company name, warmed up before any campaign starts.

Cold outreach always collects some spam complaints. Keeping it off your main domain means your quotes, invoices, and customer email keep landing in inboxes where they belong.

How fast will I see results?

Setup takes 7–14 days from signing. Outreach starts after that, and first replies typically arrive within the back half of month one. Volume is usually better in month two than month one, because we’ve learned what your market responds to.

That’s also why the ongoing guarantee is measured across three months rather than one. A single slow month happens in outbound; three in a row is a failure on our part, and you shouldn’t be tied to us through it.

Why only 3–6 leads a month? That sounds low.

Because it’s the honest number. Commercial B2B outreach has real reply rates, and anyone promising you 40 qualified commercial leads a month is either counting form fills or selling the same list to your competitors.

Look at it against contract value instead of volume. A single commercial maintenance account is often worth $30,000–250,000 a year. Three to six real conversations with decision-makers every month is a completely different business.

Which trades do you work with?

HVAC and fire/life safety are the core, plus plumbing, electrical, roofing, and commercial janitorial. The common thread is recurring commercial maintenance work with real contract value — that’s where this approach pays for itself.

We don’t do residential.

Do you only work with Grand Rapids contractors?

No. We’re based in Grand Rapids and know West Michigan best, but the process is built around your service radius, not ours.

If your market is too thin for this to work, we’ll tell you on the call rather than take the money and hope.

Do I need a website or a CRM first?

No. Outreach happens under your company name by email and phone, so it works whether or not your website is up to date.

You don’t need a CRM either — we keep a running spreadsheet of every lead and you have access to it the whole time. Plenty of contractors run their whole pipeline off that.

How do I pay?

Invoiced monthly. The pilot is billed up front; after that you’re billed at the start of each month. No setup fee, no percentage of contracts won, no per-lead charges.

Let’s find your next contract.

Tell us about your business and we’ll set up a 15-minute call to see if Truss Lead Gen is a fit. No pitch deck, no pressure — and we reply within one business day.
